Here are the features that make Duck Hunting a great light-gun shooting game:
- Simple Gameplay. The best part is the gameplay, use your finger to tap on a flying duck and bullets fly. Be careful though, if you miss the ducks will fly faster and sometimes more than one shot is required to take birdie down.
- Easy Controls. You can either tap-and-shoot on the flying duck to kill it, or you can use the accelerometer to pick a direction for the bullets (obviously the first option is easier).
- Fun Graphics & Sounds. The graphics are a bit reminiscent of the original retro style, and coupled with the sounds makes for an experience close to the original game. It also provides haptic feedback (vibrates) when you shoot.
- Beat your Score. As the levels progress the ducks move faster and it’s more difficult to get a better score. But it is your goal to try and beat your own score and see your reaction times.
Some of my best childhood memories are linked to the console games I played back then and Duck Hunting is a live testament to those times.
